Nasreen Hadad Haj’Yahya, Director of Jewish-Arab relations at the Israel Democracy Institute, Aiman Saif at The Portland Trust, and economist Nitsa Katsir, developed a proposal for 6 key aspects of the next government economic development plan (education, higher education, vocational training, tourism, job creation, and welfare).
As GR-922, the five-year economic development plan for Arab society approved in 2015, entered its fourth and then fifth year, the National Council for Arab Mayors spearheaded development of a set of strategic proposals for the next multiyear plan (see short update here). The proposals, led by civil society organizations and coordinated with government ministries, are intended to ensure that ‘GR-923’ is designed and implemented with even closer coordination and deeper insights from the field. For the first 45 minutes of the call, SVF Chair Alan Divack (Littauer Foundation) discusses the main findings and recommendations with Nasreen, followed by a Q&A.
