This program focuses on a trio of female Arab Palestinian citizens of Israel navigating life in Tel Aviv, their careers, and interpersonal relationships. Students will watch Bar Bahar (In Between) and engage in a discussion about the film and the concepts it raises with their peers. By exploring the lived experiences of the next generation of Palestinian women in Israel, their identities, and relationships, students will deepen their understanding of Arab citizens of Israel. Bar Bahar tackles difficult topics in ways that feel humorous and accessible to American Jewish audiences and beyond.
