Kher Albaz, Director of Social Services in Segev Shalom, will discuss the current challenges facing the Bedouin community of the Negev alongside groundbreaking education and economic development programs and projects. Bio Kher Albaz Director of Social Services for the Negev Bedouin Community of Segev Shalom Mr. Albaz lives in Tel ??Sheva, a Bedouin town in the Negev. He is 47 years old. He has a BA in Social work from Ben Gurion University (1987), MA in Social Planning and Policy from WLU in Ontario, Canada (1990) and an MBA from the University of Haifa (2006), and several certifications in senior management. Mr. Albaz is currently the Director of Social Services for the Negev Bedouin community (Segev Shalom), and the Social Planning Unit for the Negev Bedouins. In addition, Mr. Albaz is involved in many development projects for this community; the SCE "100 Bedouin Engineers Project" is a good example. Mr. Albaz has a rich experience in both the public and NGO sectors. He is a board member of several national and local organizations including the Abraham Fund Initiatives and Social Workers for Peace. Mr. Albaz was appointed as a member in several government policy development committees. The Bedouin community is central in Mr. Albaz's life, and he is very well known in his professional ability in his community.
