Yasmin AlNagab for the Health of Women and the Family

In 2007, a group of Bedouin Arab women in the Negev founded "Yasmin Alnagab for the Health of Women and the Family", with the purpose of improving the Arab Bedouin community's health conditions. Its mission is to promote justice and equality for the Arab-Bedouin population in the Negev, improve access to health services, change policy and raise awareness among the community and services providers. Yasmin AlNagab's actions are performed in two spheres: The public sphere: it promotes cultural compatible health services for the Bedouin Arab society, and assists women and men demand their health rights. The community sphere: it provides Arab Bedouin women with crucial information about health, which later they pass on to their communities. Yasmin AlNagab's methods include women-empowerment, community development, community sharing and cooperation with diverse interest-groups, whose actions are culturally compatible to Bedouin families' costumes and traditions.
