The Political Ethos of Palestinian Citizens of Israel: Critical Reading in the Future Vision Documents

The author argues that the fact that the Future Vision documents were a result of collective effort is evidence of the deep changes affecting Arab society in general and its leadership in particular. The authors of documents seek to redefine the relationship of Arab society with the Israeli state, demand the transformation of Israel from an ethnic to a democratic state, and call the Jewish majority to enter into a dialogue. According to the author, the fact that several documents have emerged is a clear indication that the internal differences within Arab society are still stronger than the uniting forces within it.
