The Palestinians in Israel and the 2006 Knesset Elections: Political and Ideological Implications of Election Boycott

The authors point to what they believe to be the recent most important general development in Israeli politics, and specifically in the political behavior of the Palestinians in Israel: the boycotting of the last Israeli elections. The author offers an in-depth analysis of the meaning of this development and its meanings for the Palestinians in Israel and their future. The author presents conclusions that may contradict the longstanding claim by Israeli and Palestinian researchers that the Palestinians in Israel have decided their future as Israeli citizens a long time ago.
