Jewish-Arab Relations: Shared Spaces in Divisive Times

Since October 7th and through the ongoing war, research continues to show a profound erosion of trust and comfort between Jewish and Arab citizens, shaking the foundations of the shared society field. Yet Arabs and Jews continue to study, work, and live side by side, navigating complex and sensitive realities.

How is the war affecting Jewish and Arab perceptions and behavior towards one another? What do these changes portend for social cohesion? What are shared society leaders doing to maintain a long-term vision for partnership and shared society?

On January 29, 2024 we discussed new research and developments with Michal Sella, Executive Director of Givat Haviva, Mohammad Darwashe, Director of Strategy at Givat Haviva, and Shahira Shalaby, IATF Content Expert and the co-Deputy Director of Abraham Initiatives.
