These documents deal with the future of the Palestinian-Arab population in Israel and propose changes in the character of the state and of its regime. The documents aroused a flurry of contradictory responses in the media and in the Jewish population, and, to a lesser extent, in the Arab community. The formation of these documents, two of which are of a legal nature and two are visions of the future, is a landmark in the development of group and national identity of the Palestinian citizens of Israel.
