Citizens Without Citizenship

The Political Monitoring Project was initiated by Mada Al-Carmel – The Arab Center for Applied Social Research to monitor the attitude of the State of Israel and of Jewish Israeli society to its Palestinian citizens. The report examines the attitudes of the State of Israel and of the Israeli Jewish public toward Palestinian citizens in Israel and how those attitudes have changed since the beginning of the al-Aqsa uprising and the October 2000 protests. The report traces the manifestations of the official policy and political discourse in four areas: legislation and resolutions in the Knesset, government policies, public opinion, and the ???popular culture of hate.???
