Bedouin Arabs in Israel between the Hammer and the Anvil: Education as a Foundation for Survival and Development

The author demonstrates the problems caused by the lack of a proper Bedouin education network, explaining why and how an education system can make a difference and reduce the social and economic gaps between the Bedouin and the majority society. The author describes education as a tool for the development of Bedouin Arabs in the Negev, offering young people the opportunity to acquire the skills they need to survive and succeed in their social, political and economic environment.
