Tsofen in LA: Israeli Hi Tech & the Israeli Arab Workforce

Please join the Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues and the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles for an exciting evening event with the leadership of Tsofen on October 22 at 7:00pm.
Tsofen is an Israeli non-profit organization focused on advancing equal opportunity for Israeli Arab citizens by accelerating Arab acceptance into the Israeli high-tech industry. Dr. Ramzi Halabi, Tsofen Chairman, and Ms. Smadar Nehab, Tsofen CEO, will share their insights regarding the barriers, challenges, and opportunities of creating high-tech centers in Arab cities and integrating talented engineers into the high-tech industry. They will also present Tsofen's contribution to shared society among Jews and Arabs in Israel since its establishment five years ago.
The event will be held at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles on Monday, October 22nd from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Hors D'oeuvres and drinks will be served.

Speaker Bios
Dr. Ramzi Halabi - Chairman. Dr. Halabi is a lecturer at Tel Aviv University, the former Director of the Arab Business Club and the former Head of the Regional Council of Daliat-al-Carmel. He is active in promoting economic equal opportunities for the Israeli Arab sector. Dr. Halabi holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from Tel Aviv University.
Ms. Smadar Nehab - CEO. Ms. Nehab is a technology entrepreneur and has held key positions in leading technology companies (EFI, Verisity, Mercury/Conduct). She brings broad experience in the initiation, the creation and management of technological organizations, and in organizational and technological consulting. Ms. Nehab earned a BA in Mathematics & philosophy of Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot.
