Arab Mayors of Israel: A Study Tour of Minority Groups and Engagement in Civic Life
Feb 5 - 9, 2015 6:00pm - 8:00pm
In the midst of an election season in Israel, a delegation of 30 Arab mayors is coming to the US to learn about minority civic engagement in New York City and Washington DC. These mayors are seen as playing a key role in shaping Arab political discourse, voter attitudes, and participation in public life in Israel.
Join us at their welcoming receptions for a unique opportunity to hear what Arab mayors see as major priorities for Arab society in Israel, and how they aim to promote civic engagement as a way of advancing Arab communities.
