Education for Shared Society:
How Israel’s Women Are Working for a More Inclusive Tomorrow

Dr. Asmaa Ganayem

Manager, TEC Center (Technology, Education and Cultural Diversity), Mofet Institute, Israel

The challenge of strengthening shared society in Israel has been a growing focus among civil society organizations and the government of Israel. Jewish and Arab women have taken the lead in creating innovative models to educate future generations for a more inclusive, equal and cohesive society.

In this talk and Q&A, Dr. Aasma Ganayem, Director of Education for Baqa El Gharbiya, Israel offers her perspective on education for shared society in Israel and what drives the commitment of those who work for it. Why do these leading women look to education as a powerful vehicle for change? What are the models and insights that their grassroots work has to offer Israeli society at large?

Dr. Ganayem is an expert, lecturer and trainer in technology integration in education and multiculturalism. She is the founder for educational programs for closing the digital gaps within Palestinian-Israeli society and between Israel’s Arab and Jewish communities.

Seating is limited. Please RSVP Cindy Osheroff at [email protected] or 416-434-3065 to confirm your attendance.
