Metrowest Israel Arab Committee Event: Developing the Negev for a shared social and economic future

Mar 26, 2014 7:30pm - 8:30pm

Developing the Negev for a shared social and economic future: leadership, social enterprise and Jewish-Bedouin relations With Itzik Zivan Social Entrepreneur and CEO of Zivtex, Ltd. Please join the Israel Arab Committee (IAC) for its opening event-an intimate discussion with Itzik Zivan on realities, initiatives, and visions for development of Israel's Negev desert. The Negev, Israel's most sparsely populated region, is home to approximately 650,000 people, including 215,000 Bedouin. As efforts rise to develop the region, many leaders seek development approaches that take into consideration the social diversity and economic needs of the region. Itzik Zivan is a successful Israeli business leader; social entrepreneur and impact investor who has been working with civil society organizations and Jewish and Bedouin leaders to advance projects in the Negev that strengthen its shared economic and social future. The IAC's mission is to educate the Jewish community of Greater MetroWest about issues related to Israeli Arab citizens and Jewish-Arab relations in Israel. We will review the IAC mission and goals for the coming year. Join us to hear his vision and why this successful business entrepreneur is committed to building a shared future in this region.
