Tsofen works to establish hi tech centers in Arab communities and provide the market with trained Arab engineers. The Arab society has many professionals that could find employment in the hi-tech sector. Full integration of Israel's Arab society into Israel's hi-technology industry will improve significantly the economical status of the Arabs in Israel, will benefit the general Israeli economy and will create a bridge between the Jewish and Arab societies in Israel by that contributing to Israel being a more just and fair society. Special strengths include: 1) fast product delivery in emerging and changing markets; 2) wide knowledge of technological and business issues associated with the definition, development and deployment of enterprise applications as well as web based products; 3) experience in building customer oriented engineering organizations. Social Responsibility Summary: In parallel to my professional career I was always involved in social responsibility projects among which were: Arab-Jewish student movement; Jewish Arab equal rights organizations; Local community volunteering during the time in California; Courses for Jerusalem primary school principals and Tutoring "matnas" principals under BRM's programs. For almost a year now, volunteering full time in Tsofen, for the employment, of Arabs in Israeli hi-tech. Career Details: Smadar is a co-founder of Certagon (performance management for Web based services) and served as its VP Engineering. She created the vision and the IP; she defined and created the product, built the team, and was responsible for delivering an enterprise scale solution and a hosted service. Prior to Certagon Smadar worked for BRM as VP R&D, supporting its portfolio companies. Prior to that served as VP R&D at Verisity (pioneered high-level hardware verification) and Merucry/Conduct, responsible for delivering their first products to the market. Prior to that served in leading R&D positions in California developing consumer imaging systems at EFI (a market maker of desktop color imaging), Silicon Graphics, Canon Information Systems (then a pioneer of consumer digital cameras). Prior to that worked in development of CAD systems for IC designers. Started the CAD group for Motorola Semiconductor Israel. Earned a M.Sc. in Computer Science (Weizmann Institute), a BA in Mathematics & philosophy of Science (Hebrew University) and business management certificate (Recanati School, senior Business Management Tel Aviv University).
