Dec 11, 2012 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Please join the Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues and the The Abraham Fund Initiatives for a special luncheon with The Abraham Fund's Co-Executive directors Amnon Be'eri-Sulitzeanu and Mohammad Darawshe on:

"The Declining Participation of the Israeli Arab Voter - Reasons for Concern and Windows of Opportunity"

Moderated by: Howard Sohn, Fohs Foundation President and The Abraham Fund Initatives Co-Chairman of the Board Tuesday, December 11, 2012 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM in New York City

In advance of Israel's January 22, 2013 elections, The Abraham Fund Initiatives commissioned a study designed to better understand the sharp decline in the percentage of Arab voting over the past 15 years. "Most Arab voters who stay home on election day this January will do so not for ideological reasons, but because they see no point in casting their ballots. The study also found that domestic issues are the main priority among Arab voters, with respondents noting education, unemployment and the war on crime as their top concerns, rather than the Israeli-Palestinian conflict." The Abraham Fund's Co-Executive Directors, Amnon Be'eri-Sulitzeanu and Mohammad Darawshe, will join us on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in New York City to share some of the key findings of the study. They will lay out the factors that influence declining Arab voter behavior along with the opportunities for reversing these trends, and which shed important light on the current state of the Arab public's relations with the state and with Arab elected leaders.

Please RSVP to [email protected].
Event location will be provided upon RSVP.
