The Arab-Bedouins in the Negev Introduction Workshop 2012 Negev Coexistence Forum for Civil Equality invites you to a series of lectures about the Arab-Bedouin society in the Negev. The lectures will introduce you to the indigenous people of the Negev, their history, their way of life and some of the difficulties they are facing. The lectures will take place at Multaka-Mifgash, 7 King Solomon St., Be'er-Sheva at 20:00. The Program: Monday January 23rd - Background and history of the Arab-Bedouin community in the Negev-Naqab - Dr. Yuval Karplus, Ben-Gurion University. Thursday January 26th - The right to health in the Bedouin community, Mr. Niv Michaeli, PHR - Phisicians for human rights. Monday January 30th - Political struggle of Bedouin women - Attorney Rawia Aburabia, ACRI - Association for civil rights. Tuesday January 31st - The "unrecognized" villages - Mr. Khalil Alamur, the local committee of Alsira and secretariat member of Negev Coexistence for Civil Equality.Field trip will be held upon request.
