From Theory to Practice in Intervention and Treatment of Violence in Collective Societies - Arab Society in Israel
The current course combines learning, action and social contribution about violence within the family and community in Arab society and covers the northern and southern triangle villages
Each year, the course sets a goal to train 18 Arab students in nursing and behavioral sciences to meet and deal with this issue on three levels:
- Design and consolidation of positions on the subject
- Acquiring social, cultural and socio-political skills
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in an effort to generate and serve social change
Course information:
- Learning about the problem of violence in the family and in Arab society, focusing on the personal, interpersonal, cultural, social and socio-political aspects and ways to change policy
- Processing theoretical, ethical, and clinical issues that are derived from the problem in Arab society
- Observing the experience of practitioners and therapists in the field
- Acquiring social, cultural and socio-political skills
- Providing theoretical and practical knowledge in a field that will serve and create social change
- The present course combines theoretical learning, action and social contribution on violence in Arab society
- Develop understanding and awareness of the attitudes and processes that students experience during learning
- Taking responsibility and volunteering within Arab society to create a change around the growing problem of violence in Arab society
