Bnei Sakhnin Football Club
Established in 1992, as a second division team, moving to Israel football premier league in 2003, Bnei (Sons of) Sakhnin United is the first Arab team to win a title in the Israeli premier league. In its first year, the team won the State Cup and represented Israel, and was the first Arab team, to play in Europe. Sports, football especially, has served as a symbol of development and integration for the town in Israeli society.
Bnei Sakhnin Football Club advocate co-existence and joint society between Arabs and Jews and serves in the public eyes as a peace club. It has a great capacity to unite all its player (Jews, Arabs and foreign) under values of familial intimacy, mutual respect, and belonging, despite the hard political crises that often occur or visit the Israeli society.
