"Midgar v Megzar Gender & Sector" Entrepreneurship Program
Developed to address the challenges Arab, Druze, Bedouin, and Ethiopian women face when choosing a profession and building a career, this program gives participants the opportunity to reach their potential and achieve financial independence by establishing businesses and introducing them to other successful Arab and Jewish businesswomen.
The tailored program targets each groups individual needs, challenges and mentalities to achieve social change by breaking stereotypes and promoting integration of all societies in Israel and is conducted in three stages:
- Entrepreneurship and business skills development: personal and professional skills, computer skills, financial management skills, empowerment, success stories of other women and more.
- Personal guidance and accompaniment to establishing a business de facto: once participants complete stage 1, they start their way to building a business. 20 participants, chosen carefully and professionally, will receive personal business guidance from financial experts. These participants will draft a work plan with goals, missions and budgets, while sharing their ideas, input and experience with fellow participants, eventually starting up their businesses.
- Intercultural collaboration: partnerships, networks and business relations. This stage is for sharing of knowledge, experiences, challenges and success. This is to empower women and bring them closer to one another.
