Ma'ase

Ma'ase

Ma'ase is a national service initiative and training program, with the mission of strengthening Israeli society through professional volunteerism in the periphery and developing the next generation of civic leaders by way of an intensive, multi-disciplinary leadership curriculum. IsraCorps strongly believes in the tenets of equal opportunity and social justice in Israel, believing that while formal responses are absolutely essential, they are insufficient for bringing about real change. Ma'ase is convinced that the development of volunteerism and young leadership can help bring about necessary social change. To this end, IsraCorps trains, places and guides young volunteers (aged 18-21) in the periphery of Israel, inculcating volunteerism as a tool for empowerment and "incubating" community activists and social leaders.
