Sanad Youth Association
Sanad's mission is to improve the well-being of youth and empower local communities by providing tools and life skills to young people, encouraging quality education, and building capacities that can improve their personal and communal life, as well as strengthening their role as active citizens, while promoting equality and combating racism, prejudice and violence.
Sanad's flagship program is a yearly training cycle, which targets university students, who receive theoretical and practical training. During the practical hours, these students work with and mentor school-age children in grades 4-6 in small groups developing and implementing community-based projects. Since 2010, approximately 100 university students and 250 youth from Jatt and Baka Al-Gharbiya have completed the program and a total of 24 community projects have been implemented.
Sanad is supported by Al-Qasemi College of Science and Engineering, which has been involved since the organization's beginnings, the local municipalities of Jatt and Baka Al-Gharbiya and local and international philanthropy.
