Alrowad for Science and Technology

Alrowad (Arabic for Pioneers) for science and technology, founded by Arab academics trained in the sciences, is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to contribute towards creating a strong scientific-technological Arab community in Israel by supplementing the existing program in Arab public schools.

Science education is a critical issue, which impacts modern society profoundly. According to government, academic and public sources,  a large disparity of scientific and technological knowledge, achievement and application exists between the Arab community and the general Israeli population. This gap is expected to affect Israel's economy in the future. Alrowad directs its efforts  towards the reduction of this differential.
