Kol Israel Haverim – Alliance”(KIAH) a leading educational organization in Israel, working to promote a moral and equitable society on three fronts: Jewish Education, Educational Excellence for all students regardless of socio-economic status or place of residence and Welfare and Social Resilience. KIAH operates in more than 90 schools in the formal education systems as well as a variety of educational and social programs in the community, in more than 50 cities and municipalities.
The division of Welfare and Social Resilience is a former NGO "Friends of Bait Ham", recently merged into KIAH. The division has built "Warm Houses"- a national network of afternoon youth centers, designed to simulate warm, natural homes that help fill the emotional void youth are grappling with. The division has over 30 years of experience, treating more than 25,000 youth at risk.
Kseiffeh Warm House for Bedouin girls Kseiffeh, established on 1982 for the Bedouin who lived in the area. Today Kseiffeh's has a population of 18,586, and is constantly growing at rate of 2.5% a year.
There are 2,500 girls living today in Kseiffeh, out of which 50% are at high risk.
As part of our daily work with the girls, we can see clearly that they face a variety of difficulties and challenges..
The Kiah School for the Deaf in Jerusalem is a unique educational institution in Jersusalem. The school was founded by KIAH in 1930 and has to this day, served a broad and multi-cultural range of hearing-impaired children and adolescents. The school is attended by 90 students aged six to twenty-one. The institution has a distinctive character, the result of the rich weave of diversity expressed by its population of students and staff: Jewish, Arab, religious or secular. Together, they create a human mosaic of Israeli society.
