Presen Tense Program: Mubadren
Mubadren is a venture accelerator in Hura that promotes business and social entrepreneurship in the Negev's Bedouin community. The program is based on international accelerator models, and combines required attendance at weekly seminars, special events, intensive personal guidance, access to subject matter experts and networking.
The program is run in partnership with Hura Municipal Council and Rian JDC Employment Centers which enables the local community to come together to speed up projects that promote the local economy, enrich the life of the community in the south and resolve some deep-seated challenges. Mubadren venture accelerator is now in its first year: the program is based on international accelerator models, and combines weekly seminars, special events, intensive personal guidance, access to subject matter experts and networking. Core seminars provide theoretical and practical tools, based on a Design Thinking/Lean Start-Up approach. Participants are paired up with successful professionals, who serve as sounding boards and provide strategic guidance.
