Beit Berl College

Beit Berl College

Beit Berl College is one of Israel's oldest and largest public colleges – and a leader in education, society, and the arts. Founded in the pre-state era as an institution for teacher training, Beit Berl was fully licensed as a multi-disciplinary academic college in 1979.  Renowned for academic excellence and innovation, Beit Berl sees education as a vehicle for social mobility, equality and justice for all sectors of Israeli society.
Beit Berl’s graduates comprise 20% of all Israeli secular public school teachers, Jewish and Arab, and hold prominent positions in Israeli national and local government, private and non-profit sectors, and the global arts community.
With an enrollment of 10,000 students, the College offers an extensive range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as certificate programs in three major faculties: The Faculty of Education which includes the Arab Academic Institute of Education to train teachers for the Israeli Arab education system, The Faculty of Society and Culture and The Faculty of Arts (HaMidrasha).
Centrally located between one of Israel's high-tech centers and the Triangle region of Arab towns, Beit Berl has carved out a multi-cultural niche, in which Jews and Arabs learn, teach, research and work together in a climate of equality and respect.  In addition, Beit Berl believes in linking rigorous academic training with excellent field work.  The College is proud of its commitment to pluralism and community involvement, advanced in all facets of the College's life, as well as in programs and centers expressing the College's values.
