Nalaga'at Center
Nalaga'at Center
The Nalaga’at ("please touch" in Hebrew) non-profit center redefines the culture of
innovation, through:
Nalaga’at Theater, home to the first and only deaf-blind theater groups in the world.
Kapish Event Center, where deaf and hearing impaired waiters invite the guests to
communicate in sign language.
BlackOut Restaurant, where blind and visually impaired waiters accompany the guests to a
meal in total darkness.
The center located in the middle of Jaffa, a multi-faith and multicultural city. Many of its deaf, blind and deaf-blind employees are from Arab communities, who are involved in creating a unique social dialogue and spreading tolerance within the Israeli society.
