URJ Biennial: Diversity in the Jewish State - Deepening American Jewish Connection to a Multifaceted Israel | Nov 5

October 6, 2015

American Jews have a strong and long-standing commitment to and connection with the state of Israel. Yet, as a multifaceted and diverse place, its domestic challenges often complicate this relationship and challenge the ability of American Jews to remain united around this connection. How are developments within Israel addressing disparities between its Jewish and Arab populations? How can these lead to a more cohesive understanding of Israel for Jewish populations interested in it as both a democratic and Jewish state?

Join Mohammed Darawshe, Director of Planning, Equality & Shared Society at Givat Haviva, Arnold Gluck, Central Conference of American Rabbis and Michal Steinman, Executive Director at the Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues for a discussion on "Diversity in the Jewish State: Deepening American Jewish Connection to a Multifaceted Israel".
