SHONIM BYACHAD: Arts promoting diversity exhibit starting March 19th | Port of Jaffa

March 12, 2015

Shonim B’yachad – Different Together, is a project that was created in partnership between the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee and the Daniel Centers For Progressive Judaism in Israel, to promote the value of diversity, the benefits of inclusion, and rejection of hatred and prejudice in society through art.

Currently, Shonim B’yachad works with 20+ schools and community centers throughout Israel to create art projects reflecting their interpretation of “enriching lives through diversity.” The work will be displayed as open an exhibit in the Port of Jaffa starting March 19th.

The idea for this project originated from the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee that co-sponsors a similar project, Embracing Our Differences (EOD) in Serasota, Florida.

"When we experience the creative works of our youth; read their heartfelt quotations who only want a world filled with kindness and understanding; all presented in the beautiful backdrop of the Port of Jaffa, it will be easy to understand that together, we are part of something greater. -- Howard Tevlovitz, Executive Director, Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee
