Sami Shamoon College of Engineering provides the educational bridge that inspires and transforms the youth of southern Israel into the engineers driving the region’s economic growth. Specifically:

• To provide opportunities for Israel’s youth living on the periphery to acquire an excellent academic education equal to or exceeding the top universities.
• To create reciprocal relationships between Shamoon, its students, and industry, through research and development and the employment of the college’s engineering graduates as leaders in the marketplace.
• To bolster development in the Negev by encouraging the college’s young engineering graduates to remain in the south of the country.
