Promotes social justice through a national network of Citizens Rights Centers in poor communities throughout Israel. Yedid works in 20 cities, reaching geographically remote communities that are not served by most non-profits and where social services have been cut to a minimum as a result of Israel’s economic crisis. It serves nearly 35,000 clients annually with cases involving National Insurance Institute benefits, employment rights, debt management and avoiding credit lines and repossessions, mortgage and housing rights, and food insecurity.
