Each year nearly 2,000 young people apply for scholarships. The Wisam Fund grants scholarships based on economic need and aims to grant scholarships to students representing a wide array of majors from science to the arts.
Each year, the Fund holds a ceremony in Deir-Hanna to present incoming students with their scholarships. The ceremony is widely attended by notable decision makers and opinion leaders in Israeli society. At the ceremony the new scholars are charged with carrying out Wisam's legacy by excelling in their studies and carrying out the principles of equality and co-existence upon which the Fund stands.
