Established in 1949, the WIS is a multidisciplinary center devoted to research and teaching in the natural sciences. Facilities include biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, mathematical sciences, the Feinberg Graduate School and the science teaching department. Funds are allocated to support science education programs for Israeli Arab and Jewish children in low-income neighborhoods.
