Jewish traditional sources are very explicit and instructive about the proper Jewish attitudes towards minorities. An anthology of classical Jewish sources and of Zionist political thought will generate discussion on this subject in the context of Jewish values systems. This study will take a critical approach, while seeking to further substantiate a platform of commitment to civic equality for Israel's Arab citizens.  Spiritual leaders, Israeli and American, from a wide variety of Jewish backgrounds will participate in this project.  At the conclusion of an intensive seminar, a comprehensive sourcebook will be produced, presenting the sources studied and new scholarly material written and compiled in the course of the project.
