Works vis-à-vis the central government of Israel to monitor and advance the implementation of policies for civic equality between Arab and Jewish citizens. In addition, the advocacy department researches and publishes the annual "Equality Index"; cooperates with other civil society organizations to advance implementation of Supreme Court rulings advancing equality; develops position papers; and works to advance employment equity and fair representation of Arab citizens in the public and private sectors.
