Sidre aims to improve the status of Bedouin women in the Negev on the individual and socioeconomic levels.  The organization has served as a catalyst for the creation of activity centers for women, which serve as the loci for the organization's wide range of empowerment programs for women. Programming at the centers including lectures, reading and writing courses, and local activities initiated by the women in each village.  Additional project support enabled a group of graduates of the organization's women's empowerment program to conduct programs at a new women's club for Bedouin women in the unrecognized villages.
