Shatil's Bedouin Women's Leadership Project trains Bedouin women in Israel's Negev region to lead their peers toward greater involvement in their communities, knowledge of and ability to take advantage of their rights and gaining a say in decisions affecting their lives while maintaining respect for tradition. Shatil trains Bedouin women with leadership potential to become agents for change; we implement Bedouin Women and Men’s Round Table projects for hundreds of women and men in the Negev; empower Bedouin women to teach women in their communities how to become involved in their children’s education; and we strengthen 12 Bedouin women’s organizations in the Negev through intensified consulting and training with a focus on strategic, long-term thinking.
