Mechina - Immersion Course in Hebrew - Oranim trains excellent teachers including dozens who are teaching in Arab communities. Arab-Israeli teenagers generally have very weak Hebrew skills and need to strengthen their skills to succeed in higher education and find good careers. Oranim has a month long mechina for college applicants who wish to enroll at Oranim, but their Hebrew is below the entry requirements. Participants in this program in 2009 and 2010 had 100% successful completion levels, and we expect 60 new students to take the mechina this summer.
