Jisr-a-Zarka Village

Bridge to the Future began implementing its empowerment model in the Israeli Arab village of Jisr a-Zarka in 2005. During its work within the community, Bridge to the Future initiated and implemented programs relating to all the five capital types- social, political, economic, human, and infrastructure.

Examples of these programs include: teacher training programs in kindergartens, elementary and high schools; community theater groups; parent workshops; enrichment activities for children and teenagers; encouraging job and business opportunities; a voluntary specialist medical clinic; improving cooperation between the local authority and various government offices, and more.
