Bringing Jewish and Arab young people together through music, this ensemble is one of the longest running musical orchestras of its kind in Israel. Since 1986, the Alpert Music Center has offered one-on-one lessons on a variety of musical instruments, as well as enrichment activities that expands the youngsters' musical knowledge and helps forge social ties. Its work has proved to be a powerful link for young Jews and Arabs in Jerusalem.
