Civic initiative to promote and develop the localities in the Abu Basma Regional Council and to empower the Bedouin community throughout the Negev. This initiative requires cooperation with the Abu Basma Regional Council and active involvement of the community to promote its affairs and guard its interests. The overarching goal of the project has been defined as “making the Abu Basma Regional Council a success and duplicating it to other unrecognized villages.” The other goals are promoting planning in the recognized villages of Abu Basma, in full cooperation with the government and local population; providing services to the villagers and the entire population of the Regional Council, especially in education and social welfare and empowering the Bedouin community and making it a full partner in determining its future and representing its own interests.
