Creates a cadre of young Bedouin leaders who excel academically and serve as agents of social change in their communities. The program focuses on the Negev city of Hura. Budding Scientists includes three elements: academic excellence, challenges and community activism. The program works directly with students as well as with their schools and families in an effort to create good students and community leaders. Budding Scientists serves 77 students in the two Hura schools, working with 9th through 12th graders.
