Ir Amin's Jerusalem Policy Project aims to change Israeli policy regarding Jerusalem so that the city becomes more equitable and livable for both nations that share the city and contributes to rather than prohibits, a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Opportunity Fund supports Ir Amim's policy advocacy activities, which are based on building an ongoing network of relations with key decision makers and those who influence them. Through these ongoing relations, decision-makers come to understand the issues in Jerusalem in a fuller and more complete context. The project works on three levels: 1) Raising awareness of Jerusalem issues among decision makers and opinion shapers; helping stakeholders see Israeli interests in the long term, broad sense in which a future political agreement best serves both peoples; 2) Halting unilateral Israeli actions that prejudge the future of Jerusalem; and 3) Improving the quality of life for all Jerusalemites on an individual level, but also on a systemic, community level.
