The Academy-Community Partnership for Social Change at Hebrew University in Jerusalem works to enhance the civic engagement of students, promote the creation of social networks that will advance the exchange of knowledge between engaged students and organizations, form joint projects, and develop new frameworks for veteran groups of student activists. Through series of seminars for student activists and the development of a veteran student activist group, the program seeks to develop students' social thought, knowledge, and capacity to lead change in their communities, and to make possible the exchange of knowledge and creation of associations between student activists. Organized in cooperation with social change organizations and veteran student activists, the seminars include lectures, workshops, and study tours designed to increase participants' knowledge of wider social, political, and economic processes in Israeli society, and to provide specific tools and skills for action. This program is an opportunity for Jewish and Arab Israeli students to work together.
