The Consensus Building Institute (CBI)

Conducts research; provides training and assists in the implementation of public sector consensus building in the United States and internationally. Over the last two years, in consultations with the various stakeholders across the Negev, CBI received official authorization for the National Security Council of the Israeli Government to conduct a formal, localized conflict assessment – the first potential step in a process of dialogue and joint problem solving. This assessment seeks to map the development disputes in two Bedouin communities in the Negev. The Consensus Building Institute is a non-profit organization run out of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
