Addresses critical issues currently confronting Arab women in Israel. In order to advance the rights of Israeli Arab women, ACRI: litigates critical issues in the courts in order to redress discriminatory or harmful practices or policies, with a particular focus on personal status issues; provides feminist-oriented legal aid and expertise to grassroots organizations and activists working to advance the rights of Israeli Arab women; helps place women's rights high on the agenda of the Israeli Arab community; and empowers Israeli Arab women to access their rights.
