Established in 1989 by a group of Israeli Arab women to work in the fields of early childhood care and women’s empowerment. By working in these two fields, Al-Tufula aims to further and to encourage the development of a democratic and civil society. The working strategies of Al-Tufula center include development of infrastructure, capacity building, resource development, support services, advocacy and networking.
