Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to Israeli Arabs: "Equality is Not Just a Slogan."

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert attended a seminar at the Israel Democracy Institute on the Israeli Arab community. The seminar focused on attempts to find ways to integrate the Arab sector into Israeli society especially regarding education, culture, land and employment. To this end, the Prime Minister participated in various working groups composed of both Jews and Arabs. This was the first event of its kind in which the Prime Minister of Israel met with the Arab public with deep and sincere desire to both study the issues of concern to the Arab minority and find solutions. The Jewish Council for Public Affairs is a member of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Israeli Arab Issues which aims to educate North American Jewry and raise awareness of Israeli Arab issues.
