Galila – The Northern Galilee Development Foundation

Galila promotes advocacy and a philanthropic response to the unmet and immediate needs of all the communities, Jewish and non-Jewish, residing together in the peripheral northern Galilee region along Israel's volatile border with Lebanon. Galila is active on behalf of all the communities in the Galilee region in the following areas:

  • Renovation & refurbishment of Youth Clubs for Children and Teens
  • Purchase & Installation of Children's Playgrounds
  • Initiate and Develop Community Parks & Open Spaces
  • Renovation & Refurbishment of Daycare Centers for the Elderly
  • Activate the "Galila Charitable Trust" providing funding assistance for individual social welfare and health-related cases.

Projects completed in the northern Galilee include:

  • Peki'in – Youth Club renovation
  • Peki'in – Children 'at-risk' center renovation
  • Mazra'a – renovation of school playground, installation of children's playground and the renovation of a children 'at-risk' center
  • Mate Asher Regional Council – year-round activities for the (former S.L.A. ) Lebanese Youth Movement
  • "Mothers & Children" Fun Day for 1,700 unrecognized Bedouin residents
  • Outdoor Sports Equipment purchased and installed in 22 unrecognized Bedouin villages.
