The Abraham Fund Initiative's 2007 Annual Iftar Dinner

On September 18th, The Abraham Fund Initiatives (TAFI) held its second annual Ramadan Iftar (breaking the fast) dinner in Nazareth.

The event was held under the auspices of TAFI Vice-Chairman Judge Abed Al-Rahman Zu’bi and Dov Lautman. TAFI's guest of honor and keynote speaker was Israel's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni. Other speakers were Shari’a (Islamic Court) Judge Muhammad Abu Ubayed, Haifa's Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Shear-Yashuv Cohen, and the Archbishop of the Greek-Catholic church in Israel, Father Elias Shakur. The entire event was moderated by Mohammad Darawshe.

More than 400 guests attended the event, among them USA Ambassador to Israel, Richard Jones, Chairman of the Supreme Follow-Up Committee, Shauki Hatib, Mayor of Nazareth, Ramez Jaraisy, Mayor of Alshagor, Ahmad Dabah, and Mayor of Nahaf Local Council, Omar Matar.
